PhD Symposium 2025: Profile Yourself as an Interdisciplinary Researcher
Are you an interdisciplinary PhD researcher, and looking for ways to showcase your unique expertise?
The Young Academy Groningen and PhD/i are delighted to announce our PhD Symposium: Profile Yourself as an Interdisciplinary Researcher – a full-day symposium dedicated to the rewards, challenges and everyday experiences of profiling yourself as an interdisciplinary PhD researcher.

Date & Time: Tuesday, 20th May 2025, 10.00-17.00h
Location: Lokinzaal, Röling building (Faculty of Law), Groningen
Deadline: Call for papers open until the 25th of April
It is still possible to register as a participant until 12 May!
The symposium will feature:

Paper and poster presentations by PhD candidates

PhD Poster Award for the most outstanding poster

Networking sessions

Roundtables with experts to discuss challenges, best practices and professional development
We particularly welcome papers and posters from Interfaculty and Young Academy PhDs, focusing on their current projects and/or reflecting on broader issues regarding interdisciplinary research. However, all UG PhDs are welcome to present and/or participate.

Please check the flyer below and submit your abstract by filling out this Google Form before Friday 25 April. It is still possible to register as an participant until 12 May!
NB: Please register via this form even if you are not planning to present a paper or poster.
We look forward to seeing you on May 20th. Needless to say, supervisors are most welcome to join too!
